The global star, Aishwarya Rai (and now Bachchan) does not need any introduction. She is what we call a complete package of beauty with brains. Aish, as she is fondly known, was the winner of the Miss World 1994 pageant. Apart from a number awards and accolades, including several Filmfare Awards, Aish was also felicitated with the Padma Shri by Government of India in 2009.

After winning the beauty pageant and doing several TV commercials, Aishwarya made her debut in cinema with Mani Ratnam's 1997 Tamil film Iruvar and her first Hindi film was Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya, which released in the same year. Post which, there was never a looking back.

Apart from working in a number of Indian films , Aishwarya also made it big with her Hollywood projects, such as the spy comedy The Pink Panther 2.

In 2017, Aishwarya married actor Abhishek Bachchan and they have a daughter now. In addition to acting and modeling, Aish is highly involved in several endorsements and philanthropic activities. She is a Goodwill Ambassador for the Joint United Nations Programme on AIDS (UNAIDS).

In 2003, she was the first Indian actress to be on the panel of judges at the Cannes Film Festival.
