Donald Trump made a cameo appearance in a Russian pop singer's music video after the president-elect decided to hold the 2013 Miss Universe in Moscow.

He made the cameo after musician Emin Agalarov, the son of Russian billionaire and real estate developer Aras Agalarov, persuaded Trump to hold the pageant at his father's 7,500-seat venue Crocus City Hall in the capital city.

Emin, described as having 'rock star good looks and a clutch of international music awards' on his own website, enlisted Trump to play up his Apprentice persona for his music video, 'In Another Life'.

Trump claimed he had 'nothing to do with Russia' on Wednesday after a dossier that allegedly contains compromising information was leaked and published in full.

But Trump certainly had ties to the pop singer Emin, having made a cameo in his music video for the song 'In Another Life'.

The three-minute clip shows Emin in a boardroom, daydreaming about dozens of beauty queens before Trump snaps him back to reality, saying: 'Emin, wake up!'

Trump, who delivers his trademark Apprentice catchphrase, goes on to say: 'You’re always late. You’re just another pretty face. I’m really tired of you. You're fired!'

The 2013 pageant, which cost $20million to host, was held at Emin's father's 7,500-seat venue Crocus City Hall in the capital city

Emin also performed at the 2013 Miss Universe show, along with icons like Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler - leading a Moscow Times reporter to question whether the Russian singer deserved the spot, Politico reported.

A year later, Trump appeared in another video for Emin to wish the pop singer a happy 35th birthday.

Trump said: 'Emin, I can’t believe you’re turning 35...You’re a winner, you’re a champ!'

Emin was first introduced to Donald Trump through Miss Universe 2012, Olivia Culpo, with whom he filmed another music video, Politico reported.

The pop star, who also works for his dad's real estate company, said he hit it off with Trump and soon struck a deal to hold the 2013 pageant at Crocus City Hall.

While Trump was in Russia for the Miss Universe show, Putin made arrangements to meet the president-elect, a source connected to the senior Agalarov told NBC in July.

Trump ended up taking a later flight so he could attend the 95th birthday of evangelical minister Billy Graham, and missed out on a meeting with Putin, the source said.

Putin was unable to rearrange the sit-down meeting because he had to meet the King of Holland, and sent a gift and a note to Trump instead, the source said.

Putin enlisted Aras Agalarov's daughter, and Emin's sister Sheila Agalarova, to personally deliver the gift to the Miss Universe offices in New York, according to the source.

Sheila Agalarova founded her own jewelry line and lives in the greater New York City area, according to her Linkedin page.
