Adelaide’s Olivia Rogers named Miss Universe Australia
MISS World SA finalist Aishah Stocker has a unique way of getting over her beauty pageant nerves — a burger from Hungry Jack’s.

“I admit I was pretty nervous but I got over it pretty quick. I had a Junior with cheese before, if you’re stressed that’s all you need,” she laughs.

“Never make it a Whopper, just a Junior with cheese.”

Aishah, 27, of Athelstone, and Sophie Ludbrook, 18, of Mylor, are in Melbourne, gearing up for tonight’s Miss World Australia final, where they’ll be hoping succeed last year’s winner Madeline Cowe and represent the country at the international event in China later this year.

“I’m very excited ... this whole thing is uncharted waters for me but I’m feeling up to it. I think I’m ready to go,” Sophie tells Confidential.

Pageant judges include comedian Dave Hughes and Real Housewives of Melbourne star Janet Roach, while Adelaide’s Married at First Sight star Nadia Stamp will be one of the VIP guests.

The finalists will compete for the lavish crown, worth nearly $60,000, and will become an ambassador for Thailand Tourism and Novo shoes.

A couple of weeks ago, Adelaide’s Olivia Rogers was named Miss Universe Australia — and ironically celebrated with a burger of her own, this time a Big Mac.
