Mariel de Leon Reveals Reason Behind Recent Breakup with Non-Showbiz Boyfriend

MARIEL DE LEON – Binibining Pilipinas-International 2017 Mariel de Leon admitted that she and her non-showbiz boyfriend have recently broken up.

After her journey in Miss International 2017 pageant ended, beauty queen Mariel de Leon and her non-showbiz boyfriend have also decided to break up and give each other time to build one’s self.

Based on a recent report in Philippines’ Ultimate Showbiz Hub (PUSH), in an interview with the source after the special screening of ‘Ang Panday’, Mariel de Leon revealed that she and her boyfriend broke up after her bid in the Miss International pageant.

The beauty queen is one of the leading ladies of actor Coco Martin the revival movie ‘Ang Panday’ which is one of the official entries in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2017 based on a report. The said movie will be shown in theaters on December 25.

According to Mariel de Leon, she and her ex-boyfriend thought about it and noticed that they have different schedules. She is busy with her showbiz career while he’s busy in his business.

Based on the report, the beauty queen expressed that it was a mutual decision of her and her ex-boyfriend.

“We’re both young we want to build up ourselves muna and hopefully save money so that in the future pwede nang mag-settle,” she said.

The relationship of the daughter of actor Christopher de Leon and actress Sandy Andolong with her non-showbiz businessman boyfriend reportedly lasted for almost a year. Meanwhile, Mariel de Leon admitted that they still talk.

“More of parang work on ourself muna tapos pag may kaya na, pag independent na…” she said.

Based on the report, during the interview, the beauty queen also gave her reaction to the rumors that she was not able to give her full focus on the Miss International pageant as she was busy with ‘Ang Panday’.

According to the beauty queen, she knows how to manage her schedule and she does not need to go on training everyday. She shared that she only goes to training twice a week and the other days are for her preparation for the international pageant.
