Miss Korea gets the Miss Supranational 2017 crown

MISS SUPRANATIONAL 2017 – Jenny Kim from South Korea was crowned as this year’s Miss Supranational while the Philippines’ bet landed on the Top 10 of pageant’s list of finalists.

According to a report from The Philippine Star, Jenny Kim from the South Korea gets the first-ever crown from a major international pageant for her country.

Accordingly, Kim is a 24-year-old model from Seoul.

She successes Srinidhi Shetty of India as Miss Supranational.

Kim is then followed by first runner-up Tica Martinez of Colombia, 2nd runner-up Bianca Tirsin of Romania, 3rd runner-up Bitaniya Yosef from Ethiopia, and 4th runner-up Larissa Santiago from Puerto Rico.

She bested out sixty-four contestants in this year’s pageant.

Also, she joined at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant held in Manila in the Philippines to where she won Miss Congeniality.

Meanwhile, the representative of the country in the said international pageant held at Krynica Zdroj in Poland on December 1, Miss Philippines Chanel Olive Thomas finishes on the Top 10 of the competition.

She was able to advance to the top 10 and showcase her two evening gowns, one red and one black, as well as her national costume.

Recalling, Thomas was crowned Miss Philippines Air in 2015.

So far, the Philippines has won the crown only once in the competition. It was Mutya Datul, the very first Filipino and Asian to win the title in 2013.

In the previous year, the representative of the country Joanna Eden was a quarterfinalist.

Also to be held in Poland on December 2 is the counterpart of the beauty pageant, the Mister Supranational 2017.
