MISS Universe Australia Olivia Rogers has returned home to Melbourne after a positive beauty experience which included a night out with Hollywood heart throb Leonardo DiCaprio.
Rogers missed out on the top 16 in the final last month in Las Vegas, but hopes to continue inspiring young girls.
She met DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire while in LA.
“I almost had a heart attack,’’ Rogers said, adding she ended up visiting DiCaprio’s house.
“I felt like I had just walked straight onto a movie set.
“He grabbed my hand with both hands and said it’s such a pleasure to meet you. Next minute he said, ‘meet my friend, Tobey’.”
Rogers, who has opened up about her battles with depression and anxiety, wants to help people with body image and confidence.
“Being over there you think everyone is going to have this perfect body,’’ she said.
“There’s no such thing as a perfect body. Everyone is just so different. Miss Cayman Island was super curvy and then there were really skinny girls like Miss Tanzania and girls with legs up to their ears.
“Everyone was so different. Being backstage in your bikinis it wasn’t overwhelming, we’re all so different, but it was so cool. Everyone was so supportive and I think that’s because the competition has changed and it’s so much more about empowering women and embracing differences much more than it used to be.”
