CAMIGUIN - Eight bikini-clad Miss Universe beauties took selfies and frolicked on white sand beaches here on Friday, as part of the beauty queens' tour of the country.
Candidates from Korea, Netherlands, Canada, Spain, USA, India, Singapore and Italy took turns snapping Instragam-worthy snaps by a large cross that marked the site of a volcanic eruption in 1871.
They also visited the centuries old Gui-ob Church Ruins in Catarman and the Tuasan Falls.
"It's absolutely enchanting literally coming from Manila to Camiguin its time to be thankful. Please come and tell me that I'm wrong but this is an absolute beautiful island," said Miss USA Kara McCullough.
Miss Singapore Manuela Brunttaeger said she considered the Philippines her second home, having competed here for the Miss Earth 2016 pageant.
"Amazing, incredible, we're going around very quickly seeing all the attractions that there is to see and honestly, every time we stop at some place new, it's even more impressive," Brunttaeger said.
Tourism Regional Director May Unchuan said Secretary Wanda Teo personally hand-picked Camiguin as one of the ladies' destinations.
