MISS World Philippines 2017 winners signed up with Mother Lily Monteverde to be Millennial Regal Babies: Miss World Philippines titlist Laura Lehmann, Reina Hispanico Americana Filipinas Winwyn Marquez, Miss Eco Philippines Cynthia Thomalla, Miss Multinational Philippines Sophia Senoron and 1st runner-up Glyssa Leian Perez.

It will be recalled that Laura impressed the pageant's judges with her message about beauty pageants inspiring women empowerment: "To anyone who don’t believe in pageants, I would ask them to take a look at the girls that we have here tonight because we have lawyers, architects, women of substance who are here not only because of what they look like but because of what’s in their hearts, what’s in their mind, and because what they’ve brought forth is beauty with a purpose. They are helping represent the Philippines and become the best versions of the Filipina and for me that’s something only to celebrate not protest.”

Laura also won as Miss Cosmo Skin, Miss BYS Philippines and was one of the candidates who won the fast track challenges. Lehmann will represent the Philippines at the Miss World competition slated on November 18 in Sanya, China.

Laura was previously first runner-up in the 2014 Bb. Pilipinas. She’s the courtside reporter for the Ateneo Blue Eagles at the UAAP and later worked as a sports anchor for ABS-CBN's Sports in Action channel. She also hosted the lifestyle show Listed. She was also a part of the Philippine softball team. She did a lot of modeling work on the ramp and for print ads. It’s no secret she is in a relationship with PBA player Von Pessumal who’s very proud of her.

Winwyn Marquez is excited to be the country’s first representative in Reina Hispanico Americana in Sta. Cruz, Bolivia. “Di familiar sa atin ang pageant but it has been going on for 28 years and now lang sila nag-invite ng Asian candidate and I’m flattered na ako 'yun,” she says. “Lahat ng mga Latina na nanalo sa ibang beauty pageants dumaan and it’s like a training ground for them before they join other international competitions. Ang winner nila last year was Miss Colombia with Miss Mexico as runner-up. I’m now taking Spanish classes but it’s impossible for me to learn it right away in such a short time. May interpreter naman daw sila roon for me.”

Will her parents, Alma Moreno and Joey Marquez, accompany her? “Hindi, both due to health reasons. My mom was not allowed by her doctor to travel kasi 26 hours going to Bolivia. And my dad naman, may asthma.”

How about her boyfriend Mark Herras? “Hindi rin. Kasi ang mahal ng fare. More than P100,000 at sabi ko, baka ma-conscious lang ako kapag nandun siya. Ang sasama sa’kin is my brother, Kuya Yeoj. He volunteered kasi ang dami kong dalang maleta with my gowns and costumes para tulungan niya akong magbuhat.”

What will be her national costume? “It’s Pintados inspired, so medyo sexy siya. I also volunteered to do a dance number kasi nagtanong sila kung sino puwede so I said, ako, ako! I’m really excited but also nervous. I promise to do my best.”

AGA ON PRAISES FROM CO-STARS: 'PARANG EULOGY KO NA 'YAN, A'

DINGDONG Dantes says it’s an honor to work with Aga Muhlach in “Seven Sundays”, which got an A from the Cinema Evaluation Board. He plays Bryan, Aga’s younger brother and they have a bad case of sibling rivalry. He’s more financially successful than Aga who he feels is always the “bida” or favored one in their family. So how is it working with Aga for the first time?

“Idol ko talaga si Aga noon pa,” he says. “Kaya ako na-convince to go into acting, dahil sa kanya. Pero kung fan niya ako noon as an actor, now, I’m a fan of his because of his persona. I’m really thankful na nabigyan ako ng chance na mas makikilalang mabuti ang pagkatao niya. During the whole process of making this film, pinaramdam niya talaga sa amin na kuya namin siya. He inspires us and makes us feel good on the set. He’s an actor you will admire even away from the camera.”

Cristine Reyes as their only sister in “Seven Sundays” concurs with Dingdong. “Fan din ako ni Aga noong ‘Oki Doki Doc’ days pa lang niya and I really watch his movies. At tama si Dingdong. Talagang mas nakilala namin siya dahil sa pelikulang ito. At mas lalo akong humanga sa kanya after working with him. Hindi niya kailanman ipinaramdam na Aga Muhlach siya, kung gaano kalaki ang name niya. Napakabait niya at humble.”

“Para namang eulogy na sa’kin yan,” Aga quips. “Honestly, nakaka-embarrass kapag pinupuri ka sa harap ng maraming tao, but it’s flattering din at the same time. But you know what, I’ll take it, thank you. Ever since naman, wala akong inaway o kinainggitan and I’m glad that after all these years, nandito pa rin ako sa industriyang natutuhan kong mahalin at yakapin ng buong puso.”

THE first ever Cignal Experience Center just opened in Mandaluyong. “It's not just about TV, it's about experience," says Ray C. Espinosa, Mediaquest Holdings President and CEO about the significance of the opening of Cignal Experience Center that allows visitors to explore and enjoy first hand the gamut of content of Cignal's slew of channels in crisp HD quality.

The Cignal Experience Center is located at the Ground Floor, Launchpad, Sheridan corner Reliance streets, Mandaluyong City. The center is open on Mondays to Fridays from 10a.m. to 7p.m. Cignal TV president & CEO Jane Jimenez-Basas says that the opening of the center is very timely not only because it coincides with the company's eighth year in the pay TV market, but also because it is a testament to its current standing in the industry.

"This is the right time actually to have our own store so that we can showcase the Cignal experience in a much grander manner, because we are now number 1," Jimenez-Basas adds.

The Cignal Experience Center is a product of months of hard work, imagination and fun. And this is mirrored in exceptional programs being shown through high-end screens, creatively designed interiors, decor that makes Cignal content characters seemingly come to life and the ever solicitous staff that are ready to assist clients in every need or query.

PLDT Group's chairman-president and CEO Manny V. Pangilinan lauds the unveiling of the center and believes it symbolizes the rapid and phenomenal growth of Cignal. He says, "Cignal has certainly come a long way from its beginnings eight years ago. I hope that this is just the first of many stores to be opened all around the country to deliver the kind of excellent service and quality products Cignal is known for. More than a one-stop shop, the Cignal Experience Center brings customer service for pay TV subscribers to a new level of awesome. Personalized service through face-to-face transactions guarantees ease and comfort of doing business.”

Gracing the affair were Mandaluyong Councilor Cherry Lyn Pablo Santos, Voyager president and CEO Orlando Vea, Cignal content partners from Fox, AXN, Turner, Celestial Tiger and Viacom. The cast of the upcoming Sari Sari Channel TV Series, "Tabi Po", Adrian Luis Alandy, Phoebe Walker, Jourdanne Castillo and AJ Muhlach joined the opening.
