KAMPALA – With the search for beauty queens is under way, over 22 contestants were on Tuesday June 22, unveiled in the quest for Miss Uganda 2019 at Sheraton Hotel, Kampala.
The task is tough after Quiin Abenakyo was crowned miss world Africa lifting the Ugandan flag beyond borders.

By the time the gates were open at 7:00pm, the crowd had already made queues anxiously waiting in excitement to see and cheer their contestants as they walked on the run way.
The first set of pageants broke the ice and one started to enjoy the catwalks as confidence got built up.

To add more flair, former miss Uganda beauty queens such as Sylivia Wilson Namutebi , Leah Kagasa, Leah Kalanguka , Phiona Buzu, Quiin Abenakyo displayed prowess as they made a round on the run way.
Mr.Jean Phillipe Bittencourt ,general manager ,Sheraton Hotel revealed that this edition was bigger and better.
“We are happy to be hosting this edition as well since 2018 , and I assure you we are set come July to give you the best experience in a bigger and better way,” said Bittencourt
Ms.Brenda Nanyonjo, CEO Miss Uganda thanked the sponsors who have stood and believed in them as well as the parents for allowing their girls to take part and called upon all of them to vote their queens.
” As MTN, we are glad to be apart of Miss Ug 2019 and our support for the youth is undisputed, the girls look beautiful and gorgeous and kindly secure your tickets as pulsers,” said Ms.Hellen Kirungi, youth segment Manager at MTN.

The night had musical interludes from general Zaabu and the Black womb band that delivered melodic reggae vibes in percussion.
The Grand Finale will take place on July 26 and has attracted gigantic sponsors such as MTN, Talent Africa, Kezzi Entertainment, Radio City, Sheraton Hotel, Qway , Photo 4 Faahion, NBS, Swan Creations , Oakwoods Events decor, Holiday Territory among others.
