22 year old Perla El-Halou was crowned Miss Lebanon 2017 held on September 24, 2017 at Casino du Liban. She will now represent Lebanon at the 67th Miss World final on November 18th in Sanya, China.
The 22-year-old business administration graduate beat off competition from 14 other contestants to succeed 2016 title holder, Sandy Tabet.
El-Helou was asked in the final top 5, “In your opinion, can civil society protest movements change the reality of Lebanon?” She replied that “protesters should first agree on the objectives to be achieved in order to ensure the effectiveness of their movement.”
The first runner-up was Jana Sader and the second runner-up was Sabine Najem. Reem Khoury finished in fourth place and Yousra Mohsen finished in fifth place.
