TWO more Filipinas – a model and a dentist – brought home honors in international pageants held here and in China at about the same time last Sunday.
Mutya ng Pilipinas-Model of the World 2017 Hannah Khayle Ildefonso Iglesia from Cabatuan, Isabela, placed second in the graphic model category of the Asian International Super Model Pageant held in Chongqing, China last December 10.
Standing at 5’8”, Hannah is an Information Technology graduate who earned her ticket to Chongqing after winning the new title at the Mutya tilt last August.
Sarah Jane Herrera-Real, meanwhile, a dentist from Valenzuela City, was crowned as Mrs. Eco World 2017, one of five major titles awarded at the inaugural Mrs. World Peace Pageant held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila, also last Sunday.
Real also won the Mrs. Popularity award during the preliminary competitions held at TRYP Hotel at the MOA Complex the other Thursday.
The other winners were: Le Thi Thai Phuong of Vietnam, Mrs. World Peace; Laura Cottea of Romania, Mrs. Tourism World; Marsya Safira of Indonesia, Mrs. Culture World and Lorena Rosales of Guatemala, Mrs. Ocean World.
Twenty-five married women worldwide gathered in Manila to foster peace and unity in diversity.
The Mrs. World Peace Pageant was a collaboration between Carlo Morris Galang’s Prime Events Productions Philippines Foundation Inc. and the Miss Tourism Ambassador Organization headed by its founder and CEO and president Ben Nguyen.
The two organizations also co-produced the maiden World Miss Tourism Ambassador Pageant held last Saturday, also at Resorts World Manila where 43 beauties worldwide competed to promote tourism and goodwill.
Talliya Aibedullina, a Journalism student from Ulyanovsk, Russia won the coveted World Miss Tourism Ambassador 2017 title.

Hats off to Mrs. Globe Philippines Carla Krizzle Samonte-Dimaano of Pasig for making it as one of the 15 finalists at the 21st Mrs. Globe Pageant held in Shenzhen, China last Tuesday.
Carla, who has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from The University of Phoenix in San Diego, California, also won the Philanthropy Award for her campaigns against cyber bullying and fighting for the rights of abused women all over the world.
