Rachel Peters reveals reason she couldn't attend send-off for sister queens

Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2017 Rachel Peters on Tuesday revealed that she is "heartbroken" over not being able to attend her pageant sisters' send-off due to an allergy.

"Absolutely heartbroken that I'm unable to attend my girls' send off this afternoon due to an allergy," Rachel wrote on Instagram.

Despite her absence, she still conveyed her support for her sister queens. Rachel posted a photo of herself alongside the women who will be jetting off to compete in their respective international pageants.

In the caption, she expressed her confidence in Elizabeth Clenci, Nelda Ibe, and Mariel De Leon.

"I'm sure you'll all look stunning as always and I just want to say how excited I am for the three of you. I have no doubts that you ladies will slay your international pageants. Forever behind you three and always your no. 1 fan, looking forward to more salsa nights and weekend hangs when you get back," she wrote.

The Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. kicked off the international pageant season with a grand send-off for reigning queens Clenci, Ibe, and De Leon.

Clenci will represent the country in the Miss Grand International 2017 pageant on October 25th in Vietnam, while Ibe will be jetting off to Albania for Miss Globe 2017 on November 3rd. De Leon will compete in the Miss International 2017 pageant on November 14th.

Meanwhile, Peters is set to compete in the Miss Universe 2017 pageant on November 26th in Las Vegas. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas / AT, GMA News
