Courtesy of Carlos Velez Foto Miss West Virginia Teen USA 2017 Olivia Hutchison will compete in the 2017 Miss Teen USA competition July 28-29 in Phoenix, Arizona.

PHOENIX - Huntington's own Olivia Hutchison advanced to the finals of the 2017 Miss Teen USA competition in Phoenix, Arizona, on Saturday.

Hutchison, West Virginia's representative in the competition, was selected with 14 other finalists Saturday night from the 51 competitors.

The 18-year-old is a recent Huntington High School graduate and soon-to-be Marshall University freshman.

Throughout the evening Saturday, the final contestants competed in athletic wear, evening wear and final question competitions as they vied for the crown and the title of Miss Teen USA 2017. The winner had not been announced as of press time Saturday.
