Sofia Manzur who represented the state of La Calera won the crown of Miss Earth Chile 2017 during a national finale held at Centro de Eventos VW (Ex Sport Q), Quillota on September 2 2017. Sofia triumphed over 15 other beauties to win the right to represent Chile at Miss Earth 2017 in Philippines. She succeeded Tiare Fuentes, Miss Earth Chile 2016.
The gala was broadcast live on Loa Visión TV Calama. Reigning Miss Earth Katherine Espin attended the event and she along with Tiare Fuentes crowned the new Miss Earth Chile Sofia Manzur.
Sofia is an advertising student, is 20 years old and is 1.75 cm tall. Her court included the Representative of Temuco (Miss Air), Quillota (Miss Water), Constitucion (Miss Fire) and La Florida (Miss Ecotourism Chile).
