Miss Teen USA Karlie Hay, of Texas, will be passing her crown off to the next victor of the beauty pageant on Saturday, July 29.
One of the contestants in the gallery above will be crowned the next queen as Hay ends her reign as Miss Teen USA 2016.
While Hay has reigned as the Miss Teen USA 2016 queen, the start of her rule was rocky.
Moments after Hay was crowned, the Tomball High School senior faced the first PR challenge as social media users found a stream of racial slurs on her timeline and called her out for it.
Hours after being crowned, Hay posted an apology on Twitter saying, "I admit that I have used language publicly in the past which I am not proud of and that there is no excuse for. Through hard work, education and thanks in large part to the sisterhood that I have come to know through pageants, I am proud to say that I am today a better person."
The Miss Universe Organization stood by their choice in crowning Hay and she continued out her reign for the rest of 2016.
During her reign, Hay focused on fitness, education and peer-pressure awareness through her social media profiles, including her Instagram page.
