Vietnam welcomes first Miss Grand International 2017

Candidates from Peru, Ecuador, Malaysia, India, United States Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Cambodia and the Philippines were present at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on October 5.

The 27-year-old girl is 1.8 meters tall.

She now owns a modelling company in Peru.

Miss Grand Malaysia, Sanjeda John, 25, is 1.68 meters tall.

Miss Grand Philippines, Elizabeth Durado Clenci.

Brianna Marie Key represents US Virgin Islands at Miss Grand International 2017 pageant from October 5 - 26 in Vietnam. The grand finale will take place on Phu Quoc Island, Kien Giang Province on October 25.

Brianna is 1.68 meters tall, weighs 49kg and measures 79-61-87. Her ambition is to launch an organization to assist disadvantaged children.

Miss Puerto Rico Brenda Azaria Jimenez arrives at Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 1:30am on October 5 (local time).

Brenda is 1.80 meters tall, weighs 56kg and measures 81-58-91.

Her hobbies include horse riding, travel and water sports. She is currently studying with the aim of becoming a paediatrician.

Miss Grand International 2017 attracts contestants from 80 countries around the world. Huyen My represents Vietnam at the pageant. In 2016 Vietnamese representative Nguyen Thi Loan finished in the Top 20 of the pageant.

Vietnamese representative Huyen My arrived at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on October 5 to prepare for first activities of Miss Grand International 2017.

Huyen My is the first runner-up at Miss Vietnam 2014 pageant. She has spent several months on preparing for Miss Grand International 2017.

I wish to win the pageant for a chance to help poor people, especially children, she says.

Miss Grand Cambodia Khloem Sreykea (left), 18, is the youngest contestant.

Miss Grand International 2017 will take place in Quang Binh and Kien Giang provinces. The grand finale will be held on Phu Quoc Island on October 25.
