Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters is a natural on the pageant stage, but when it comes to ice-skating, she's not as graceful.

The Western Cape beauty went ice-skating in Bryant Park, New York City, and we think she might need a little more practice.

Demi-Leigh shared a video on Instagram of her attempting to ice-skate.

"I’m a natural... can you tell?" she captioned the video.

It seems a skater at the park was kind enough to help her while she struggled on the ice.

"You're so kind. I'm never going to forget you," she says while clinging onto the good Samaritan.

Demi-Leigh has been living it up in the 'Big Apple' since winning Miss Universe last month.

The city is her base for the 12 months of her reign.

And it looks like she might be having a very white Christmas.

It's still unclear whether she will be able to return to South Africa before the year ends, and seems likely to spend the holidays in New York.

But she can't wait to celebrate her win with her family, friends, and all her supporters in SA!
