PHILIPPINES' bet Teresita "Winwyn" Marquez won a special award during the pre-pageant festivities of the 2017 Reina Hispanoamericana competition. The 25-year-old Filipina was hailed Miss Ipanema during the second Gal de la Belleza event. Aside from the title, Marquez also placed first runner-up in the Miss Personalidad Udabol (Miss Personality) competition and was among the top 3 contestants in Miss Silueta Philips (Miss Silhouette Philips). She was also among the top 3 finalists for the Best Traditional Costume and in the Top 5 for Miss Deportas Patra (Sports) and Best Smile. Marquez win and impressive finish in the special awards categories comes after her performance in a Bolivian morning television program became viral. In the video, she wore traditional Muslim attire and performed a folk dance native from Mindanao. She then surprised the viewers when she suddenly took off the ensemble for a modern and sultry outfit. The Filipina beauty will compete for Miss Reina Hispanoamericana title on Saturday, November 4 in Bolivia. (SunStar Philippines)
